Bharatpur

A world-renowned bird photography destination, home to hundreds of resident and migratory species.

Where thousands of wings fill the skies each winter, Keoladeo National Park, popularly known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, stands as one of the world’s finest bird sanctuaries and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This remarkable wetland in Rajasthan attracts over 370 species of resident and migratory birds, including pelicans, painted storks, cranes, eagles, owls, and a wide variety of waterfowl.

Once famous as the wintering ground of the critically endangered Siberian crane, the park remains one of India’s most important birding destinations. Its network of marshes, woodlands, and grasslands also supports deer, jackals, pythons, and numerous other wildlife species.

Every visit to Bharatpur is a breathtaking journey into a wetland ecosystem where nature comes alive with the sound and spectacle of birds.
